It was kind of hard to look away from a very sexy Sting when he joined the Florida Orchestra for a gala concert at Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, and it's also very hard to ignore this number: $1.5 million.

That's how much the 66-year-old modern rock icon helped raise in honor of the Orchestra's 50th anniversary. A press release says the event was the orchestra's most successful event ever.

"The $1.5 million raised through the gala includes fundraising donations and concert-only ticket sales," the release said. "The funds will support TFO’s free community programs, which last season reached about 80,000 people in hospitals, schools, parks, museums and more, as well as artistic initiatives that bring top talent to Tampa Bay stages."
