Singer-songwriter Mark Kozelek is many things to many people. He's the man behind the cathartic, intimately personal pop/Americana of Red House Painters. He's the focal point of the newer, more eclectic outfit Sun Kil Moon. He's the unpredictable, cover-happy solo artist whose most recent album is a collection of Modest Mouse remakes.
OK, so he's really only one thing — a singer-songwriter — to all people. But he's really good at it, and always manages to surprise, as well as spin out evocative, intimate tunes of his own, which he sings in a soulful moan. Support for this truly special little show comes courtesy of a couple of top-notch locals: the dreamy, immaculately stylish Candy Bars, and eccentric, poetic Unrequited Loves frontman Mike O'Neill.
