The Britishrock band I count among my Top 10 all-time favorites, Radiohead, returns to town in the spring supporting this year's ambient, percussive-driven eighth LP, The King of Limbs. While it's probably my least favorite album by the band, I can't help but like it and I definitely appreciate where they were going with it, and based on their recent "From the Basement" performance (watch it after the jump), I'm intrigued in seeing out the tracks play out in a live setting. Plus, you know, they're effing rock star professionals well-versed in the art of staging a show that's both classy and relentlessly dynamic. I've had the chance to see them do it twice twice — once in '03 in West Palm Beach following the release of Hail to the Thief, again in '08 at the Gary Amp (when it was Ford) behind In Rainbows — and Thom Yorke, Greenwoods and the rest have not yet disappointed.
Radiohead hits the St. Pete Times Forum, which will be the Tampa Bay Times Forum by then (and will have a nice makeover that many of us will be seeing for the first time), on Wed., Feb. 29, 2012. According to the band's website, tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster this Friday, Nov. 19; the date's not listed on the TM website (nor on the Forum's), but parking for the date is.
If you're a diehard, the band also plays the American Airlines Arena in Miami on Mon., Feb. 27; tickets on sale now. Check out Radiohead's "From the Basement" performance after the jump.
