Nahko and Medicine for the People is one of a handful of bands including Tom Morello, Anti-Flag, Amanda Palmer, Atmosphere, Speedy Ortiz and Glitch Mob who’ve thrown their names into a movement asking concert promoters to stop using facial recognition software at shows. That’ll be the last thing on the minds of fans at Jannus Live waiting to hear tunes from the reggae-rock outfit, however, and it’s cool to see a Reggae Rise Up Festival favorite Nattali Rize back in town, too.
Nahko and Medicine for the People w/Nattali Rize. Fri. Oct. 11, 7 p.m. $32.50. Jannus Live, St. Petersburg. jannuslive.com.
