Chicago blues guitarist Stanley Jordan has played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, but currently, his heart belongs to Jimi Hendrix.
The 63-year-old describes his current run of shows as how he envisions what Hendrix would be doing onstage, had he lived much longer. Jordan does have the tapping ability down, so if he can play with his teeth, this gig is probably the closest we’re gonna get to vicariously living through one of Hendrix’s two performances at Curtis Hixon Hall in 1968.
