Riley Morgan, multi-instrumentalist for St. Petersburg psychedelic mind-fuck rock outfit Pleasures has a side project called 13%, which features Adam Deranian, who Morgan (pictured above, foreground) met while playing together in another band called Crystallized.

For 13%’s new release, the pair dove into a computer and mixed as many genres as possible to come out with an electronic sound that Morgan says sounds like a “candy-coated video game soundtrack” that ventures “into dark valleys of dystopian drum-and-bass, ending on a broken plain of soothing acoustic guitar and distant vocals.” The release has been pushed back to September 13; stay tuned via 13percent.bandcamp.com.
