Nashville’s Darrell Scott plays an outdoor and socially-distanced show—and the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center gig will pique the interests of Robert Plant and Zac Brown Band fans since Scott toured with both acts.

The songwriter even received a Best Country Song Grammy Nomination for writing the bluegrass-inspired "Long Time Gone" performed by The Chicks (he also wrote The Chicks’ part in Beyonce’s remix of “Daddy Lessons,” so yeah, he worked with Queen Bey, NDB). You’re right if you think Scott writes more music for himself than other people, but his 2020 live album Jaroso will give you a taste of what he’s bringing to Safety Harbor.

Tampa Bay’s own Josua Reilly—who runs a stellar songwriter night at Crooked Thumb Brewery down the road—opens the show. And yes, if you’re wondering, Scott also wrote “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive.”
