Day two of Margarita Fest canceled, but here's the rest of Sunday's Tampa Bay area live music lineup

Rain, rain, rain.

✔️ = Critic's Pick

* = show still on for now, you may want to call as the day rolls on

We knew that weather would be a factor in the live music plans for many Memorial weekend shows, and it looks like tropical raincloud Alberto just tallied its first concert casualty. Tampa Bay Margarita Fest has officially canceled its day two plans, meaning you'll have to nix any hope of seeing Everclear or Fastball in the park today (partial refunds are available).

UPDATE: Sunset Music Festival has canceled Sunday, too.

Many shows are still on, however, and we've called around to the outdoor venues. Here's what you can still check out this Sunday.

✔️ Ol’ Dirty Sundays 7-year Anniversary w/Teeko/Lord Finesse Ol’ Dirty Sundays anniversaries are starting to feel like clockwork, but don’t let the weekly party’s consistently good lineup of DJs fool you into thinking that organizers have grown complacent. Each week always brings top-notch talent to rock the Crowbar patio, and this edition celebrating ODS’ seventh anniversary is no exception. Teeko’s turntablism is revered among producers and hip-hop heads (he’s worked with Mark Ronson, D’Angelo, Q-tip, and the late Heavy D, amongst others), but he’s also recognized in less traditional forums (he was the first electronic act to play the Monterey Jazz Festival, and Berklee School of Music in Boston once gave him a Milestones Innovative Producer’s Award). Joining Teeko for the party will be former hardcore rapper Lord Finesse, who arrived out of the Bronx in the late '80s/early '90s thanks to work with the D.I.T.C. crew and an album with DJ Mike Smooth (Funky Technician) before really leaving his mark on the genre by helping produce works by O.C., Noreaga and Notorious B.I.G. Doors are a little earlier for this one (8 p.m.), but it’s no dress code and no cover like it’s always been. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

SIX, THEN SEVEN
Interview: Ol' Dirty Sundays' DJ Casper and DJ Fader reflect on six years gone by

*Scratch My Back 23 w/The Lint Rollers/Denvo/Reuben Rey & the Undercover All funds raised at this local rock show will go to Friends of Hillsborough County Animal Services, a 501(c)(3) org, which helps Hillsborough County Animal Services and rescue organizations make dogs and cats adoptable. No pets are allowed, however, so just show up and know that you’re contributing to a good cause. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO

Silent Disco w/The S.E.T. Armature Works is cool, but it won’t have a silent party soundtracked by the S.E.T (a collective of Tampa’s best beat makers and producers) on Sunday. The Hall on Franklin will, and the Tampa Heights food hall is where you can put on headphones and flip channels as selectors spin everything from '90s hits (think Aaliyah, Dr. Dre) to today’s current trappy offerings (Migos, Future, 2 Chainz). It’ll look weird from the outside, but those plugged in will be unaware of onlookers anyway. (The Hall on Franklin, Tampa) INFO

11th Annual Pool Party w/DJ Sean/VJ Jason Barco There’ll be bodies of water on the Castle patio this weekend, but don’t call ‘em moats — it’s the Ybor nightlife staple’s 11th annual Memorial Day Pool Party. Sip on fruity cocktails while DJs spin industrial, gothic and more. Baggies provided (for your phone, sicko). (The Castle, Ybor City) INFO

*✔️ Zanesville w/Pretty Voices/Mondo Diablo/Kevin K Band/The Cheap Gunslingers/Boney FiendSometimes holiday weekends just need to be soundtracked by some surf rock while you sit right on the beach. This Treasure Island gig at CJ’s is pretty much perfect for that and features rock and roll outfits Zanesville and Pretty Voices joined by instrumental trio Mondo Diablo plus old-school New York punk Kevin K and more. (CJ’s On The Island, Treasure Island) INFO

FRIENDS FEST 2017
Hear the Tampa Bay Brew Co. beers named after six local bands like Band of Sorrows, more

*Band of Sorrows Do you need lots of Jack Sprouse in your life? Yeah? Then make sure to be at this free evening show (6 p.m.) where the Tampa songwriter fronts Band of Sorrows, but also be at Mermaid Tavern for an early-afternoon solo set (2 p.m.) of beer-drinking, whiskey-shooting Americana. (Independent Bar and Cafe, Tampa) INFO

*Beach House Sundays w/Krewella Sunset Music Festival is easily the EDM must-do of the weekend, but here’s one for the Clearwater kids who just don’t want to shell out for taxi cabs and festival tickets. Krewella — the project of Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf — plays Shephard’s Beach House party, where a mix of progressive house, electro, dubstep, drum & bass, trap music and future bass will shake the sand. (Shephard’s Beach Resort, Clearwater Beach) INFO

✔️ Big Bad Voodoo Daddy It’s been seven years since the band played Capitol Theatre, and when Big Bad Voodoo Daddy arrives in Clearwater it’ll also be celebrating its own 25th anniversary. The retro swing band’s self-titled, self-released debut arrived in 1994, and the excitement of BBVD’s fusion of jazz, rock and dixieland hasn’t grown old in the slightest. This may be a seated theater set, but don’t be surprised if some dancing breaks out in the aisles. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater) INFO
