New wave band The Psychedelic Furs is coming to the Clearwater’s Bilheimer Capitol Theatre for a Friday, Oct. 29 show. (Halloween weekend seems like the perfect time to see “The Ghost in You” live.)
Vocalist Richard Butler and his bassist brother Tim Butler have led the British band through a long and successful run putting out classics like “Love my Way” and “Pretty in Pink”—inspiration for the John Hughes’ film of the same name.
Supporting is Spacehog’s Royston Langdon–aka Liv Tyler’s baby daddy–opening the show. ICYMI, Spacehog had one of the best one hit wonders of all time with 1994’s “In the Meantime.”
Langston opened for the Furs at the Clearwater venue in 2019, the last time they were in town.
The “Made of Rain” tour supports the Furs 2020 release of the same name. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 4 and run $35.50-$67.60. For more information, go to rutheckerdhall.com.
