Neighborhood bar and hangout Shuffle hosts a day-long celebration full of live music, food and drink specials and “balloon artists, stilts walkers, white walkers, ancient alien lovers and knitters of sweaters,” (whatever that means.) Guests can enjoy music from local artists Americana band The Burke Bros, rapper Kay Three, plus songwriter Biishop the Artist and indie-pop outfit Soft Bite, while battling each other on Shuffle’s indoor or outdoor shuffleboard courts.
Danielle O’Connor and Jennifer Evanchyk opened Shuffle in the spring of 2018, and their watering hole, restaurant and shuffleboard club has since garnered a reputation for being the go-to neighborhood hangout in Tampa Heights.
Shuffle's five-year anniversary party and concert on Saturday, March 25 goes from 4 p.m.-midnight, and a $10 donation is suggested.
Evanchyk told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the party is also a fundraiser for The First Amendment Foundation now that her ex-husband, fired Axios reporter Ben Montgomery, is buying a Jell-O shot for anyone who walks up the bar and says, "Craft beer is propaganda." All proceeds will go to FLAF.
