RULES:
- All Contestants Must be 21+
- Contestants can be all genders and have any style of music, style and look. This contest is about skill, popularity with the crowd and ability to think on your feet, work the crowd and win over the Judges.
- SLG Employees are ineligible for this contest, but they may vote.
- Anyone can join -- professional working djs and amatuer bedroom djs alike!
CLICK HERE to register. Registration takes place between July 5-23; interested participants need to upload a bio, photo and a 5-10 minute mix of music.
HAVE YOUR FRIENDS VOTE
Open voting takes place July 26-30, and friends, families and fans are encouraged to vote as many times as they can. The votes will be tallied up on July 30; the top 16 advance to the competition stage.

16 DJ's will be selected by judges & fans and battle head-to-head
Each DJ will have 5-10 minutes to impress the judges and crowd with a mix of their choosing.
Bring your "A" Game & Bring your Friends - 8 DJs will be eliminated!
The other 8 move on to the Quarter Finals and win some cool stuff.
Quarter Finals
Every Sunday, August 8-29, The Kennedy
Head-to-Head: Each week, two competitors will battle it out in 30 minute sets.
Spin the Wheel: Each DJ will spin the wheel to determine the three types of genre's that must appear in their 30-minute set.
Work the Crowd: Pack the floor, impress the judges & win!
The Perks: A VIP Table & Bottle for you and 8 peeps

A new Bay area contest modeled after all those music-related TV reality shows, So You Think You Can DJ is the latest local search for the hottest talent in town — those who know just what to spin to get bodies on the floor. The winner gets crowned as Tampa's Best DJ along with a guest DJ residency at The Kennedy, a fatty TBA cash prize, $100 in Beatport music downloads, $50 in Jamvana music downloads, and the biggie: an all-expense paid trip and the chance to compete in the Red Bull National Thre3Style DJ Competition in Denver this October.
Basically, So You Think You Can DJ is an open competition designed to promote, expose and spotlight Tampa's best DJ talent, from up-and-coming novices to veteran professionals. Local folks get the opportunity to select their favorites during an open voting from July 26 through July 30, with the top 16 advancing to the competition.
