Songwriter Zach Williams plays ‘Rescue Story’ songs in Clearwater this spring

We the Kingdom opens the show.

Sometimes you start your weekend early by going to church on a Thursday night. Grammy award winner Zach Williams is bringing "The Rescue Story Tour" to Countryside Christian Church in Clearwater on March 5. The tour finds the 41-year-old debuting stories and music from his new album, Rescue Story, along with award-winning hits such as “Fear Is A Liar”, “Chain Breaker” and “Old Church Choir”

Williams, who's experienced his own share of hardships, truly has relevance in our society. Whether or not you consider yourself religious, you will be pleased to find such an honest and unique performer. Think less "gospel" and more "singer-songwriter-storyteller.

Supporting acts are worship rockers We The Kingdom, featuring members of the infamous Cash family, and Cain, a promising country trio from Nashville. If you miss Williams in Clearwater, you can see him in Lakeland (March 6 at Victory Church) and Sarasota (March 8 at Robarts Arena.)

Zach Williams w/We the Kingdom/Cain. Thurs. March 5, 7 p.m. $28. Country Christian Church, Tampa.
