Comic books and rock are the themes of the evening when Tarpon Springs-based label Super Sidekick Records throws a showcase party where attendees can snag copies of the first and second issues of its exclusive comic series, The Adventures of Super Russ, and catch live music by two bands that are currently repped by the label — headliners Escape Tonight, a trio that purveys an upbeat radio-ready pop-punk sound and are getting ready to record their first EP; and alt-emo outfit No Inside, their nasally-vocals and sound vaguely reminiscent of Senses Fail. Other highlights include grungy faith-infused rockers From this Fire and indie folk artist Adam Randall. Show starts at 8 p.m.; the first 100 attendees get a free bottle of Super Sidekick IPA.
