Songwriter and geologist Andy Brey—who plays New World Brewery on Thursday, Dec. 22—is an unsung Tampa sideman who seems to contribute to so many Americana projects while quietly playing stellar solo shows of his own.

His holiday hootenanny is a chance to see Brey for the gift he is as he plucks and picks through a special strain of freaky folk-pop. This one in the New World biergarten is going to feel like a family reunion.
