Late last month, Tampa Bay blues singer Betty Fox took an unplanned break to rest her voice and body. The need for a quick respite from the stage comes as no surprise since she’s one of the hardest-gigging acts in the Bay, but we’re willing to bet that her return is going to be a showstopper at this album release show for Fox’s latest outing, Peace in Pieces. Give Betty’s body the green light, blues gods, and let this powerhouse vocalist sing her song.

Fri. Oct. 4, 8 p.m. $20-$30. Hough Hall at Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg.
