Named after a blighted Tampa neighborhood, Xuitcasecity is made up of two local boys — Mike Gomes and Cam Young (fka Young Cam) — who’ve moved out west while still remembering their roots. Last year found the hip-pop/electro duo racking up about 2 million Spotify streams on the strength of a 2017 debut EP (INDXGO) and its sophomore effort, CXTY NIGHTS, released in November.

A new, nightclub-ready single, “Lead Me On,” was released in January, but it’s become a bona fide summer anthem thanks to its instantly catchy hook, bouncy rhythm and sultry melody. Xuitcasecity will be supported by a rare live outing from another revered Tampa duo (Trapfone) plus two fast-rising Bay area rappers, Young 40 and Stoney Hoop.

Xuitcasecity w/Young 40/Trapfone/Stoney Hoop. Fri., July 12. 7 p.m. $12-$14. Crowbar, Ybor City. brokenmoldentertainment.com.
