Tampa Bay jazz favorites Ona Kirei and LaRue Nickelson play Morean Arts Center on Thursday

The show is after a gallery talk about Águeda Sanfiz’s 'The Other Pandemic.'

In early 2020, Águeda Sanfiz’s sister took her own life at 44 years old in Tarragona, Spain. It happened 11 days after the Spanish government announced a nationwide lockdown to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Sanfiz kept shooting.

The Tampa-based photographer's latest exhibition, “The Other Pandemic,” captures that moment in time, and on Thursday, Jan. 19 there’s a free gallery talk followed by a concert by stunning Catalan songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ona Kirei and Bay area jazz guitar royalty LaRue Nickelson.
