A few giants of the Bay area jazz and soul scene (singer Belinda Womack, guitarist Freddy Montes, bassit Kenny Walker) join others in helping raise funds for Anthony D’avanza, who was the chef at long-shuttered, forever-revered Tampa eateries Café Creole (Ybor City, caddy corner from CL’s offices) and Selena’s (Old Hyde Park).

Monies raised at Skipper’s Smokehouse will help D’avanza cover rising medical costs, but there's a GoFundMe page going as well.
