Joe Marcinek Band Plays The Dead w/Legacy Orchestra Collective Grateful Dead tributes aren’t rare in the Bay area (Uncle John’s Band has been doing one at Tampa Skipper’s Smokehouse for ages, and The Dead Set seem to be on to something at St. Pete’s Cage Brewing), but some Jerry worship at the hands of Indiana’s Joe Marcinek band, which isn’t something you get to experience every day. Check the band out at this no-cover Saturday show, and then come back to see Marcinek & Co. plays a regular set in the same room a week later on January 14. (Dunedin Brewery, Dunedin) INFO

✔️ Thomas Wynn & Olivia Wynn Siblings Thomas and Olivia Wynn take a night off of playing with The Believers in the hopes of staging an intimate singer-songwriter set at the always-cozy Seminole Heights craft beer watering hole The Independent. It’s no-cover, super-laid back and the Wynns possess two of the state’s most captivating vocals. (Independent Bar and Cafe, Tampa) INFO

Blue Suede Shoes w/Scot Bruce It seems like this first week of the year is bringing every tribute act in the country through the Bay area (Tom Petty, Nirvana, Blink-182, Steve Miller), so why not keep the party going with an early birthday show for The King, who would’ve turned 83 years old on January 8. Scot Bruce plays the young Presley while Mike Albert eats doughnuts backstage (they’re better than hard drugs) before taking the stage as Elvis in his Las Vegas days.
