Chinese viral rap star Rich Chigga announces tour, books October 24 date at Orpheum in Ybor City

✔️ Rich Chigga The conversation about Asian cultural appropriation of hip-hop is headed to Ybor City. A year after his video for “Dat $tick” made him an internet meme/sensation, gravelly throated Indonesia-raised rapper Rich Chigga is bringing his 28-date Come To My Party Tour to Orpheum. Mr. Chigga (real name Brian Imanuel) has already expressed regret about his stage name, and recently told The New Yorker that he’d like to be taken seriously as a rapper. It seems like he’s already on his way there. Several prominent rhymesmiths — including Ghostface Killah — have been more than agreeable about his odd, yet captivating flow. Read more about it here.
