Johnny Champagne might be one of the busiest artists in Tampa Bay. When he’s not creating his own beats (which he’s been doing since the age of 14), he directs the Hollins High School choir, serves as a worship leader, and even tickles the ivories in local jazz outfit Tha Banned, which he brings to the stage this Friday.

His new album Christian (named after his government name, Christian John Tapper) has been described as a project Champagne has been working on for years, and he leaves it up to the listener to determine its main genre.

Tickets to the album release show for Johnny Champagne and Tha Banned at Crowbar in Ybor City on Friday, June 28 are still available for $15.
