The Tampa Bay DIY scene is banding together to raise money for climate change and victims of it. Two shows happen on opposite sides of the bay this Saturday. Details below.
Reality Asylum w/Low Season/Human Error Leave it to the more than century-old VFW Post 39 to pick up a show that probably would’ve happened at shuttered downtown St. Petersburg venue Fubar. A must-see Bay area live act, synth-wave trio Reality Asylum, headlines and is joined by two local punk acts — Low Season and Human Error — for this concert that is a benefit for nonprofit activist group Extinction Rebellion Tampa Bay, which is dedicated to raising the alarm about the dire threat of climate change. Mutual Aid Disaster Relief Show w/Clang!/Fjshwjfe/Meghan Eliza & Burgher Girls/Apoc Siren/Funeral Guy Another handful of local acts whose sounds run the gamut of noise and punk are taking to a Tampa warehouse for a DIY show where proceeds will go towards Mutual Aid Disaster Relief, a grassroots disaster relief network based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action in response to climate-related calamity. Park on the east side of the building if you can find the show. Warehouse show, Tampa INFO
