Downtown Tampa is home to different niche art events, including the Shruti Foundation’s East-West Dance Festival happening on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Water Works Park in Tampa Heights.

The celebration of global dance features over 200 performers from the Tampa Bay community and beyond. Solo presentations, large group performances, dances like the Gujarati garba, Punjabi bhangra, belly and Indonesian are just a few of the many styles that will fill Tampa Heights’ Water Works Park for the all-day, family-friendly event that features cultural presentations and workshops, as well as other multicultural activities.

A CL Tampa Bay favorite, Wahh World Fusion Band (pictured), plays at 3:45 p.m. ahead of a closing set from Maurice Allen’s jazz band.
