Friday is Jamaican Independence Day, and Best of the Bay-winning Jah Movement is helping Jerk Hut celebrate the day after at the local chain’s University of South Florida area location. The Rum Fest includes Carribean street food and tropical drinks, plus there’s homemade vendors selling art and other handmade wares (so skip Etsy this weekend).

It’s only the third event at the USF area restaurant since reopening after last year’s lockdown, and the events are still staying outside. Wear a mask spread out and have a great, safe time,” the event page states. Bring a beach chair if you want to sit.
