Tampa photographer Amy Kate Anderson is offering free promo shoots

Not every band gets one, though.

Finding hi-resolution, approved-use band photos can be a pain in the ass, and CL has definitely had to pass on putting a band’s photo in the paper after coming up short in a search for a good shot. Hell, some bands don’t even have pictures we can use online.

Tampa photographer Amy Kate Anderson (an occasional CL contributor who is also one-third of Tampa marketing firm cherrybomb media) wants to fix that, so she’s offering a free promo pic shoot to select Bay area artists.

"My goal is to help musicians/artist/creatives/aspiring models to have the tools they need to move forward with their craft,” she said about the shoots.

“Having professional imagery that represents you is important in this digital world. Photos are used for promotion of all kinds and they’re often the first impression the world gets when seeing or looking you up for the first time,” she added . “We are in this together! Let’s make some magic."

Interested parties should fill out a form at theamykate.com, but be aware that just filling one out does not guarantee a booking.

“A limited amount will be selected and you will be contacted within a week to talk through concepts and book if you have been chosen,” she said.
