Tampa’s legendary BDSM rock band Genitorturers plays Brass Mug on Friday

Believe it or not, the shows were even freakier before camera phones.

If you’re new to Tampa Bay you might not know of Genitorturers, one of the area’s most famously freaky acts ever. The industrial-metal band started in the ‘90s, and has been entertaining audiences around the world with its BDSM-themed rock shows since. The shock-rock outfit is back in Tampa on Friday, with fearless leader Gen guiding the way.

Newbs to the scene should maybe start at The Castle and work your way up to a Genitorturers show—it’s not for the weak, prude, and definitely not for children. (It’s the only rock band with multi-page spread in Hustler if that makes it more clear.)

Genitorturers w/ Abbey Death/Sister Kill Cycle. Friday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. $20. Brass Mug, Tampa. @brassmugtampa on Facebook
