On September 13, Pink Floyd fans around the globe will be ushered to theaters for the chance to catch a one-night only screening of David Gilmour's Live in Pompeii concert.
The long time Pink Floyd frontman is taking a page from former band mate Roger Waters, who screened footage from his world-renown The Wall tour on a similar one-night only screening back in September of 2015.
The Live in Pompeii performance, which originally took place in 2016, was a two-night affair in one of the oldest amphitheaters in the world, which was built in 90 B.C.
Pink Floyd originally played the first rock concert there in 1971 for a four-night run.
Gilmour's screening is comprised of footage taken over his two night gig there, and will debut to over 2,000 theaters world wide. Fans of the bands illustrious catalog and Gilmour's own material won't be disappointed, as the set contains material from both.
Tickets for the September 13 showing are now available online for select theaters around the globe, and lucky for Tampa Floyd fans, we wont have to travel too far.
North Tampa's Studio Movie Grill will be showing the film at 7:30 p.m. on September 13. You can also request that your theater screen Gilmour's Live in Pompeii here.
