Tav Falco at a Comfort Inn? Yep, and it’s going to be worth it when St. Petersburg’s Poinsonville Songs Project brings Falco and the spirit of his ‘80s psychobilly band, Panther Burns, to the Sunshine City.

The 73-year-old has shared stages with Big Star’s Alex Chilton and the Cramps, but he’s in our neck of the woods supporting the Panthers’ late 2018 album Cabaret of Daggers. The Panthers are working with a different lineup these days (Tavo is backed by a trio of Italian musicians on this tour), but the blend of rock and roll, blues and cabaret jazz on Daggers is just as enigmatic and authentic as Falco has been during his entire career.

This show is late night and all ages.

Tav Falco’s Panther Burns w/Jenu Six & the Old Souls. Wed. June 5 , 9 p.m. No cover. Poisonville Songs Project, St. Petersburg. INFO.
