Tech N9ne, who recently rapped with The Rock, plays St. Pete this weekend

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the horrorcore emcee.

One way to bump up the sales of your new album is to do what Tech N9ne did and have Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, make his rap debut on it. And thanks to Johnson, the song “Face Off” has caused the Kansas City rapper’s track to hit number one on TikTok, a benchmark that’s just as important as Billboard these days. Tech N9ne brings emcees Rittz, King ISO, MAEZ301, and Jerry Robinson to his Saturday night stop in St. Petersburg. It’s been a couple years since the horrorcore rapper has been in the Bay, and don’t be surprised if has a little more swagger than before. I’d be strutting if I gave The Rock his big break in the rap game, too.

Tech N9ne w/ Rittz, King ISO, MAEZ301, and Jerry Robinson. Saturday, Nov. 20, 7:45 p.m. $27.50-$30. Jannus Live, St. Petersburg. jannuslive.com
