Texas rapper Lecrae plays Tampa church concert on Saturday

Over the summer, Reach Records canceled a much-anticipated “We Are Unashamed” tour featuring Lecrae. While there wasn’t a Tampa date on that run, the Bay area will the rapper in its neck of the woods, when Lecrae plays Crossover Church on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The 42-year-old has been unafraid to say his piece when it comes to Christianity and said he once lost a gig after criticizing what he called “the institutional, corporatized, gentrified, politicized, culturally exclusive version” of his faith.

Bizzle, Zauntee and MAK open the show.
