The Diary of the Unemployed Housewife: Jazz, wine, rock and chocolate

I had never been to the State Theatre before, and quite frankly I was a little scared — you know, all worried that we would be "that weird old couple." Turns out I had nothing to worry about; not only was I feeling pretty saucy and confident after my morning on TV, but there were quite a few people there both young and old. Matt's band was awesome; if you get a chance, definitely scope them out!

After the concert, ears still ringing from the sound (love concert ears!), we decided to check out St. Pete Brasserie for a late-night bite to eat. We really enjoyed the mellow ambiance, and the food was delish; I highly recommend the chocolate sampler for dessert, yum. I had my first job interview last Friday, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I hope everyone had a most enjoyable weekend!

The Unemployed Housewife

I dragged the husband downtown to Baywalk for one of iLovetheBurg.com's events at Baywalk last Thursday night; we had a blast. Great jazz, free wine, free food and lots of interesting people to mix and mingle with. I have faith that the guys at iLovetheBurg.com as well as the handful of stores still located there and many other "Burg" advocates will breathe life back into Baywalk and bring the downtown St. Petersburg scene back to life.

After the Baywalk event we headed to the State Theatre to see one of my old co-workers from back in the day perform with his band Meet Me Overboard.
