Your mom deserves the world, but if inflation has your wallet fucked up, then just make the effort to get her to downtown Tampa on Mother’s Day for a free concert by the Florida Orchestra.

The program kicks off at 8 p.m. with the “Star-Spangled Banner” and includes a dozen more selections that range from blockbuster hits (“Lord of the Rings,” “The Muppet Movie,” “Star Wars” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”), plus some Sondheim and works from classical mainstays like Copland and Tchaikovsky.

The performance is also a canned food drive for Tampa Bay Harvest, so do your part.
