Motown legends and Grammy lifetime achievement award winners, The Four Tops, will soon play St. Petersburg's Mahaffey Theater with Mary Wilson of The Supremes.
The group, known for hits like “Shake Me, Wake Me (When It’s Over),” and “Baby I Need Your Loving,” is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
The two acts have a history of touring and performing together. In 1970, Four Tops recorded a rendition of “River Deep, Mountain High” with Mary Wilson.
Tickets to the event will range from $49-$79, and go on sale at noon on Feb. 14. However, if you’re a member of the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, you can purchase presale tickets on Feb. 12.
The Mahaffey is at 400 1st St. S., St. Petersburg.
Peter Lemongello Jr., who performed on “American Idol” and a PBS television special called "My Music: Doo Wop Generations" will open the show.
