A recent lawsuit means Ticketmaster/Live Nation is giving away free tickets (along with discounts) to its shows all over the country, including some in Tampa Bay (via Billboard).
Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster proved Ticketmaster had been vague and unfair in their extra fees for tickets. This means if you bought a concert ticket from them from 1999 to 2013 — and if you’re reading this right now we’ll assume you did — check your ticketmaster.com account and click on “active vouchers” and last but not least reap the benefits of Ticketmaster’s past mistakes.
Redeemable vouchers currently available for summer concerts in Tampa are: Nickelback (August 1), Matchbox Twenty (August 15) and Ruff Ryders (September 8).

A great way to give back to those you bamboozled is to give them tickets to concerts they don't want to go to even for free, right Ticketmaster? We completely understand that these options are no front row John Mayer opportunities, but a free concert is a free concert and that’s better than none at all.
In the back of your mind I’m sure you thought you’d never have to pay for a Nickelback concert because you were never invested enough, especially not financially, to attend one. But now is your time to give Nickelback a shot and remember that even though there are memes making fun of the band they still have their mega hits like “Photograph,” “Rockstar” and “If Today Was Your Last Day” that you have to admit you know, and you know some of the lyrics by heart.
If Nickelback doesn’t tickle your fancy, check out the bands that were mostly popular before I was even alive on this earth: Matchbox Twenty or Ruff Ryders. Matchbox’s lead singer, Rob Thomas was just in Tampa last May.
