Tampa Bay community radio station WMNF 88.5-FM and Todd Snider might as well be siblings. Both are time-tested (the 53-year-old Nashville songwriter released his solo debut, Songs for the Daily Planet in ‘94; WMNF used to broadcast out of a rundown Hyde Park home 40 years ago), and both are quirky as all get out. The institutions come together under the roof of one of Ybor City’s most romantic buildings on Friday for what should be one of 2020’s first really special shows.
Todd Snider, Fri. Jan. 24, 8 p.m. $20. Centro Asturiano, Ybor City. wmnf.org.
