Against Me!

A breakdown of shows happening this Wed., Feb. 18...

Against Me! with Creepoid, The Worriers Against Me! is the true embodiment of punk rock, producing a bevy of politically-charged anthems over its 18- year career and maintaining a DIY ethos despite a two-album stint on major label Sire Records. The band continues touring behind 2012’s Transgender Dysphoria Blues, the “coming out” album of the Gainesville band’s transgender leader, Laura Jane Grace; much of the album’s content deals with her transition from man to woman. (The Ritz Ybor, Ybor City) –Seth Peterson

Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam A two-act multi-media trip down memory lane finds British rock singer-songwriter and Traffic co-founder Dave Mason playing songs he helped write during his tenure with the band, all off 1967’s Mr. Fantasy and Traffic’s 1968 self-titled second full-length, from better-known cuts like “Feelin’ Alright” to deeper gems ala “Medicated Goo.” He also delivers select tracks from his solo catalog (“We Just Disagree,” “Only You Know and I Know”) and covers of tunes that informed his music (“All Along the Watchtower”), and he peppers his sets with stories, anecdotes and insider tidbits as visually complemented by rare vintage photo projections. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater)–Leilani Polk

Diana Ross The iconic lead voice of The Supremes who went on to enjoy a rather lucrative solo career has been active for nearly five decades, receiving all manner of prestigious accolades in recent years for her artistic accomplishments (including a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 Grammys), and remaining a polished entertainer with a silky cooing croon and big sparkling presence. Though closing in on 71, Diana Ross continues to bring her AC mix of pop, disco, soul, R&B and jazz onto the road, her sets touching on material from her Supremes days through songs off her most recent release, 2006’s I Love You. (Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg) –LP
