Crown the Empire w/ Blessthefall/New Years Day/Too Close to Touch/Light Up the Sky The "Backstreet Boys of the metal world" arrive from Dallas, Texas to give Ybor City a taste of their new album, Retrograde, where the band trades in the big ideas on previous albums for straight up catchy hooks and melodies for the growing legion of fans who've flocked to an acessible hard rock sound. (Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO

Ferron If you live in Gulfport, but don't feel like crossing the Bay to for some girl power, then you might want to go out to this show (let's face it, if you live in Gulfport, then you probably already heard about this show by Ferron). The 64-year-old Canadian folkie rose up in the late 70s and mainted an healthy audience until the mid 80s when she kind of went ghost on fans until the turn of the decade when she released four albums in three years (Phantom Center, Resting Without Question, Not A Still Life and Driver).
