Dry Branch Fire Squad w/The Hummingbirds Dry Branch Fire Squad are as progressive as a traditional bluegrass outfit can get, but their adoration for guys like Ralph Stanley and Del McCoury is all over their output. What’s really fun, however, is a trip to their website where the band posts true, blue rants complete with bullet points, Dow Jones math and extended diatribes on tax cuts, the constitution and health care. Expect them to roll through the best of the front-porch standards and modern ballads that litter their nearly half century old discography. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO

Ceschi w/Bleubird/Stick Martin/Jon Ditty’s Duo of Goodness/Bee-Low Brass/Slim Taper Hip-hop is happening in the 34698 zip code, and two months after a slept on Sage Francis show, Dunedin Brewery welcomes Jersey emcee Julio Francisco Ramos (aka Ceschi) to their stage for a set alongside Floridian rap product Jacques Bruna (aka Bleubird) who has been making intelligent, witty hip-hop for the heads since way back in 2000. Elisabeth von Trapp Concert The springs are alive with the sound of music this Sunday, and it's all thanks to the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron Von Trapp, whose real life story inspired “The Sound of Music.” Elizabeth says she can do near anything from Back to Broadway, and her cathedral program features sacred and secular music including Gregorian chants, early American hymns, spirituals and psalms set to her own arrangements. Tampa fans may have seen her on February 12th, but this is a chance for a roadtrip encore performance. (Church on the Bayou Presbyterian Church, Tarpon Springs) INFO
