Electric Six

A double-dose of avant indie bands with dance tendencies hits Orpheum tonight. Detroit sextet Electric Six arrives fresh on the heels of dropping an 11th studio LP, Bitch, Don’t Let Me Die!, that explores topics ranging from mortality to sex to the government in the most cheeky mode imaginable while mixing elements of synth rock, disco, pop, glam and metal. Yip Deceiver is the sexy, vibrant, Athens, Ga.-based psych-disco-groove pop project led by of Montreal formers Davey Pierce and Nicolas ’Dobby’ Dobbratz, who are working on a follow-up to 2014 debut, Medallius. 7:30 p.m., Orpheum, Ybor City, $9-$15 (all ages).
