Tonight in live music; Monday night jazz at USF, Borgore, Rock & Soul

No costume required.

Slim pickin' tonight, but you'll be happy to know that at least two of tonight's live music outings (Monday night jazz and The Hub's Rock & Soul night) don't require costumes.

The Tampa Jazz Club is taking to USF's School of music to kick off the first night of a five-installment Monday night jazz series in its 21st year. On top of the bill tonight is Hammond B-3 player Bobby Floyd, who's played with the Ray Charles and Count Basie Orchestras, and in recent years with the band of Dr. John.

USF faculty — guitarist LaRue Nickelson, drummer Ric Craig and director of Jazz Studies, Jack Wilkins, on saxophone — will accompany, and more information is available at Tampa Jazz Club's website. (USF Concert Hall, Tampa) INFO
