Permanent Makeup, Fever Hands, Bimbo Providing a nice segue into the looming NYE weekend are three Florida bands – CL’s favorite bouncing and lurching No Wave trio Permanent Makeup are joined by Jacksonville’s Fever Hands, formerly known as Memphibians, which deliver grungy, jangly indie rock sounds, and raw experimental garage pop project Bimbo. (The Amsterdam, St. Petersburg)

Blues Jam with Betty Fox & TC Carr Every Wednesday, Hideaway Café hosts a soulful blues-soaked jam session – the first and third Wednesdays are headed up by TC Carr and his Bolts of Blue Band, while the second and fourth are commanded by Betty Fox Band. On this fifth and final Hump Day of the month, both howling local artists come together for a big ol’ greasy throwdown. (Hideaway Café & Recording Studio, St. Petersburg)
