Tonight in live music; Rock the Park, Samantha Fish kicks off Bluesfest, Dustbowl Revival, more

Now that it’s done raining.

The Dustbowl Revival w/Sara Rose/Chris Sgammato If you’ve ever dreamed of being high on the perfume of a riverboat queen, then you might want to shine up your finest vintage duds and head to Crowbar where American roots orchestra The Dustbowl Revival will stage a set that shows how a forthcoming new LP produced by ex-Flogging Molly guitarist Ted Hutt (who's worked with Gaslight Anthem, Old Crow Medicine Show) adds a little soul and funk to their tent revival Americana. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

Tampa Bay Bluesfest: Kick-off Party w/Samantha Fish Band Samantha Fish has a brand new album (Chills & Fever, which she released on St. Patrick’s Day), and she’ll show it off twice this weekend. Once on Saturday when she plays the Tampa Bay Bluesfest (see our preview here) and beforehand at this Bluesfest kickoff party where Fever’s N’awlins horns and Motor City grit (she recorded with members of Detroit Cobras) will come to life for anyone looking to start their Bluesfest weekend off a little early. (The Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg) INFO

Rock the Park w/Bunch/Flow Sisters/Mountain Holler This is the first of two free shows by Alabama rockers Bunch this week (they play The Bends in St. Pete tomorrow), but the support looks a little different on a free, family and pet friendly outdoor Tampa show where Mark Etherington’s solo folk project Mountain Holler opens and Flow Sisters (a fusion duo who just opened for Zach Deputy at Skipper’s Smokehouse) play the middle set. Rock The Park is usually over around 10 p.m., so you won’t be struggling at work on Friday if you head out tonight. (Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa) INFO
