Tonight in live music: The Front Bottoms with the Smith Street Band, Elvis Depressedly

Three indie bands take the stage for an all ages show at Orpheum tonight (Mon., Nov. 23).

“You need a means to an ending / I need a spiritual cleansing,” Brian Sella warbles tunefully amid stream-of-consciousness waxings in “Help,” the bouncing lead single off The Front Bottoms’ Back on Top LP. The New Jersey folk-punk quartet with the sunny melodic sound and wry-humored lyrical turns brings the tour backing said album to town, with support from lo fi indie rockers Elvis Depressedly and Australia’s raw punk pushers The Smith Street Band. Doors at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m., Orpheum, Ybor City, $16.50 (all ages).
