Concerts this Fri., Jan. 23

A look at what's happening in live music on this Fri., Jan. 23.

Wild Adriatic with Geri X, The Dram Direct from Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and calling on ’70s-era vintage rock sounds is blues rock trio Wild Adriatic, the groove-grinding and driving tunes on 2014 debut full-length Big Suspicious marked by powerfully soulful vocals and guitar textures that vary from Southern-fried crunchy to clear soaring solos to funky wah wah-pedaled passages. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)

Arlo Guthrie: Alice’s Restaurant 50th Anniversary The iconic folkie commemorates the anniversary of his most well-known song, the 18-minute Thanksgiving-fueled musical monologue otherwise known as “Alice's Restaurant Massacree.” Guthrie performs the song in its entirety every night on his current full-band tour along with selections from all the studio albums he's released since his debut. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater)

Cyrille Aimée A France-soaked, New York-based jazz vocalist with a rich, silky tonal quality and gypsy-swinging sound; her fourth full-length, It’s a Good Day, dropped this past August via Mack Avenue. (Largo Cultural Center, Largo)

Kris Allen The next presentation to raise money for the (currently-in-construction) Safety Harbor Art and Music Center (SHAMc) is an intimate program by the singer-songwriter who won American Idol’s eighth season: blue eyed-soulful pop rocker Kris Allen, on the road in support of his fourth studio LP, Horizons. (Margaret Heye Great Room at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater)

The Corbitt Brothers with Better Than Usually With songs like “Chicken Pot Pie Blues” (“I don’t know which one I like more – chicken, pot or pie”), “Middleburg Whiskey” and “Asshole Casserole,” Jacksonville-spawned, Franklin, N.C.-based Corbitt Brothers (led by harmonica blowing multi-instrumental Isaac and greasy-singing slide guitar-slinging bro Newsome) wears their bluesy outlaw country sounds on their sleeveless tees. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa)
