The latest and possibly greatest LCD Soundsystem album, 2010s This Is Happening, is allegedly their last. In May, songwriter/producer James Murphy the visionary mind behind the NYC disco punk/electro pop recording project, pictured right told BBC Radio's Zane Lowe, "We'll make this the last record and we'll do exactly what we want and go out happy." Murphy has since rescinded the absolute end of the band and suggested that while LCD Soundsystem likely wont tour anymore, they might still record and release music on a single-by-single basis.
But by all accounts, the live show is where its at and rumor is they're on fire this tour (breaking up, or playing at breaking up, will do that to you), so catch them while you still can, and enjoy the added bonus of an opening set by Sleigh Bells (pictured left), a super hip indie noise pop duo also known for staging outrageously fun live performances.
Check out video of both artists after the jump. This is a worth-the-drive concert. Tues., Oct. 5, doors 8 p.m., show 9 p.m. Hard Rock Live, Orlando, $32 GA/$37 reserved.
