Tyrese, Monica, El Debarge, Ginuwine and more R&B veterans are making a stop in Tampa this summer.
Headliner Tyrese is not only a renowned singer, but also an actor and author. In 1998 his self-titled debut album that featured the single "Sweet Lady", peaked at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. He was then nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for Open Invitation, his fifth album.
Tickets to see the R&B Music Experience at Amalie Arena on Sunday, June 18 go on sale Wednesday, March 22 and start at $75.
Another headliner, Monica started her career at age 12 and is a Grammy-winning multi-platinum artist. She was the youngest female to have two consecutive hits on Billboard’s R&B chart from her 1995 debut album Miss Thang.
Also on the tour are El Debarge, Ginuwine (who just played Tally Ho Pub eight miles away), 112, Silk and Tweet all known for their classic R&B hits.
Other Florida stops for the R&B Music Experience include Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami.
