Aaron Gillespie is a person of many talents: drummer (Underoath/Paramore), singer (Underoath/the Almost), pastor, and former clothing shop owner. The Clearwater-born musician plays a solo gig Friday night, and while most of his bands’ religious aspects are hidden under the metal, Gillespie’s solo stuff tends to be softer and more godly. In case that’s not your jam, Gillespie is putting out a new album with Underoath, so don’t be surprised if the 38-year-old metalcore hometown hero books a hometown date with U/O soon.

Aaron Gillespie w/Rowdy/NorthStreet. Friday, Nov. 7 p.m. $15. Crowbar, Ybor City. crowbarybor.com
