Ukuleles are like certain makes and models of cars. Once you get one, you’re always noticing them everywhere.

Over the weekend, almost everyone in Tampa Bay with a ukulele may be in Dunedin for World Ukulele Day Festival, which is taking over what feels like every square inch of the seaside town.

It all starts at 10 a.m. in downtown with uke performers and lessons, then gets moving (literally) with a stroll & strum leaving Pioneer Park at 3 p.m.

Nighttime activities include an after-hours jam and open mic, but several venues—from the Fenway Hotel to Nature's Food Patch, Dunedin Brewery, the history museum and more—will all host ukulele bands from noon-4 p.m.
