UPDATE: The Cubs released a brand new version of a video for this song complete with footage of players celebrating the historic win. Also, to the folks on Facebook saying Eddie Vedder wasn't crazy when he sang the tune at Wrigley over the summer: he wrote this damn song about eight years ago. That's eight years of crazy, okay?
It finally happened. Tonight, the Chicago Cubs — who haven't tasted a championship in over a century — went to extra innings and beat the Cleveland Indians in game seven of the 2016 World Series.
We've got a tribute to former Tampa Bay Rays Joe Maddon and Ben Zobrist here, but right now you should have a look at this clip of Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder (a diehard fan and Evanston native) finally predicting this triumph with a performance of "All The Way" way back in August.
Watch it, then check out this vintage CL cover of Joe Maddon here.
