This month, Tampa pop outfit Extra Celestial, who CL profiled in our April “Grrrrls Rock” cover story, celebrate their first year together as a band. Today, the ladies — Casey, Devyn, Caitlin, and Bellz — premiere a new video for their single, "Restart."
Filmed during the band's recent one week trip to Los Angeles, the video finds Extra Celestial gigging around and exploring La La Land. Bellz, who handles drums for EC, even got to play on a loaned set from 80's new wavers Berlin.
"Putting the video together was fun and daunting," guitarist Devyn Dacus told CL in a message. "As I continually edited the video, I got to reminisce about our trip a lot. I had to go through over 500 videos to piece it all together. The outcome came out great though and we are thrilled we captured our trip."
The band is currently working on material for a new EP that they hope to get out before the end of the year. Have a look at the video below and read more about Extra Celestial here.
